Evangelical Lutheran Church in America

God's work. Our hands. Together.

We believe that God loves all people equally and that there is a place for you at God's table. We commit to the work of anti-racism, liberation, social and environmental justice for all of God's creatures. We welcome you to join the ministry of SVLC as we celebrate diversity of age, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, religious background, life experience, complexities, and questions. Join us on the journey as we joyfully and inclusively love and serve our community.

SVLC is worshipping on-site in our building and on-line on here at 9:30 am each Sunday. We are inviting worship participants to choose if they would like to wear a high quality mask throughout the service. If you are feeling sick or are uncomfortable with the mask policy, please join our hybrid on-line worship on YouTube. It is streamed live at 9:30 am on Sundays and available afterwards for viewing by clicking the button below.

Welcome to SVLC

Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church Hybrid Worship

A letter from
              Pastor Andy

There's a place for you here.

Perhaps you came to this webpage contemplating making changes to enliven and fulfill your personal and spiritual lives. Let me formally invite you to check out our community of faith, Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church. We're a moderate and steadily growing congregation that has been around since 1972 and is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, or ELCA (www.elca.org).

If you've never stepped foot in a church or it's been a while; if you're skeptical, curious, doubtful, agnostic, or a lifelong Lutheran... You are welcome here! We would be honored and pleased to greet and meet you. You have a unique story that can only add to the richness of our community of faith.

Worship With Us

For Lutherans, worship stands at the center of our life of faith. Through God's word, water, bread, wine and prayer we are nurtured in faith and sent out into the world. We gather every Sunday at 9:30 am to worship together.

Our Sunday Worship service is a little different each week, while following the structure of the liturgy. Some weeks we worship using a more traditional format with piano or organ and other weeks we worship using a more contemporary format with a band and other times we have a blended service with both. We request that you wear a mask while worshiping with us. Children are always welcome at all of the service.
