Welcome to SVLC
Epiphany Season Worship - January 24, 2021

There's a place for you here.
Perhaps you came to this webpage contemplating making changes to enliven and fulfill your personal and spiritual lives. Let me formally invite you to check out our community of faith, Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church. We're a moderate and steadily growing congregation that has been around since 1972 and is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, or ELCA (www.elca.org).
If you've never stepped foot in a church or it's been a while; if you're skeptical, curious, doubtful, agnostic, or a lifelong Lutheran... You are welcome here! We would be honored and pleased to greet and meet you. You have a unique story that can only add to the richness of our community of faith.

Worship With Us
For Lutherans, worship stands at the center of our life of faith. Through God's word, water, bread, wine and prayer we are nurtured in faith and sent out into the world. We gather every Sunday at 9:30 am to worship together.
Our Sunday Worship service is a little different each week, while following the structure of the liturgy. Some weeks we worship using a more traditional format with piano or organ and other weeks we worship using a more contemporary format with a band. Children are always welcome at all of the service. We offer a staffed nursery for younger children and Kids Club for all ages. Kids Club participants worship with their families until the Children's Chat, then go and do an activity of their own, then return in time to celebrate Holy Communion with the rest of the congregation.
